Adecco Staffing is partnering with a local manufacturer in East Providence, RI seeking a 1st shift Tool Room Machinist. The schedule will be 8AM-4:30PM Mon-Fri and the pay range for this role will be
I. BASIC FUNCTIONS:
• Set up and operate all tool room equipment such as lathes, surface grinders, milling machines, and drill presses.
• Understand and operate various types of presses, including power presses, transfer presses, and assembly equipment.
II. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Maintain a safe and functional work area.
• Use all required safety guarding and PPE.
• Follow all company policies and security procedures.
• Support all ISO initiatives and documentation procedures.
• Responsible for proper care and handling of equipment and materials.
• Responsible for all materials signed out to you.
• Must be flexible and willing to cross-train.
III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
• Have previous machine shop experience or a formal apprenticeship.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Demonstrate a willingness to work collaboratively with others.
• Understand metals and metalworking processes.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to pay close attention to detail.
• Must be able to read and use micrometers, calipers, blueprints, and related measuring tools.
• Responsible for the quality and outcome of assigned products and projects.

Pay Details:
$28.00 to $35.00 per hour
