Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate team member to support daily food service operations in a healthcare or residential care setting. This role plays an important part in helping ensure meals are served safely, efficiently, and with attention to quality and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and food service according to established guidelines.
• Deliver meals and snacks to residents or patients in a timely and courteous manner.
• Support food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen, dining areas, and related workspaces.
• Wash dishes, clean equipment, and help maintain a clean and organized food service environment.
• Follow dietary instructions and portion requirements as directed by the care team.
• Communicate any concerns regarding food preferences, allergies, or special dietary needs to the appropriate staff.
• Assist with stocking supplies and rotating inventory as needed.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen, nursing, and support staff to provide a positive dining experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, healthcare dining, or a similar environment is helpful, but not always required.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain attention to detail, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate items, and perform repetitive tasks as needed.
• Understanding of basic sanitation and food handling practices preferred.
• Dependable, team-oriented approach with a commitment to respectful service.
